David "Dave" Detiege was an American animator, director, and writer who worked for Warner Bros., DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, and Disney. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 22, 1934, and died in Burbank, California, on March 10, 2013.

Detiege began his career in animation in 1955, working as an animator for Warner Bros.
